Byron’s Stonehenge - Site 3
Thus began the start of the many stone columns, some up to 10 metres in length, being strategically positioned across the Farm, forming a Byron Bay “Stonehenge”. Mr Horstmann and his Team, have harvested these natural sculptures to artistically create their Stonehenge style Eco-village. Some of the rocks have been used for the construction of a rock tower, resembling a castle, above a grotto/cave that’s been built into one of the mountains. In a spiritual sense, the ‘castle’ is ideally positioned – right between Mount Warning and the Cape Byron Lighthouse.Byron New Energy is currently in the process of developing a number of business structures, including the establishment of a trust and eventually a propriety limited company, hopefully in early 2011. Mr Horstmann is currently in talks with a number European Companies, who he believes are interested in demonstrating their sustainability-aiding technologies locally.“These companies are prepared to invest in creating this village because they realise the benefits this will bring to the community,” said Mr Horstmann.
